So here it is, Summer 2008…the weather is beautiful and delightfully hot!  It’s Hood River after all, the wind is blowing and the town is bustling.  But….how is the real estate market?  Well, I purchase the Hood River office of Windermere Glenn Taylor Real Estate in July of 2007.  Since that date the best month for sales was November 2007….yes November 2007, right after the mortgage crisis really started to impact other markets…..and the 2nd highest month for sales thus far is this month, July 2008.  Neither of these months are traditional sales record months.  The historic months for the Hood River office of Windermere Glenn Taylor Real Estate are April/May and September/October.  So, what does all this mean……in my estimation it means that if a house is priced according the the current market it will sell.  Well then of course, we have great agents ready to provide their expertise to help buyers & sellers meet their goals. Yes, it is a buyer’s market, but things are moving right along.  Is it a good time to buy or sell in Hood River, Oregon….you bet! Stop in our office at 504 Cascade avenue in Hood River, Oregon and we can get you started in the process.
